Physical Therapist

Description
Duties include:

Initiating, evaluating, developing, implementing, documenting, supervising and revising plans of care for patients requiring physical therapy

Coordinating patient care with other staff members and physicians
-
Documenting patient assessment, needs and care
-
Assisting with coordinating and teaching rehabilitative care programs to meet the needs of staff, patients, caregivers and the community

Supervising Physical Therapy Assistants
Requirements
Home care is both challenging and rewarding! This job requires a person who can work independently, while never forgetting that home care is a team effort. Other requirements include:

Graduate of an approved school of physical therapy approved by the American Physical Therapy Association

One year of clinical experience as a physical therapist

Licensed as a physical therapist by the State of Tennessee

Knowledge of geriatric and pediatric problems
-
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
-
Respecting the patient’s privacy and maintaining confidentiality
-
Ability to turn, lift, carry and otherwise transport patients
-
Current Tennessee driver’s license and automobile liability insurance
-
CPR Certification
